A chat that doesn’t try to learn everything about you.
Connecto is a simple web app for talking in private rooms. It is built by the team at Galavix, for people who want a conversation without the noise.
Why no notifications?
We could add them, but that would mean telling a server who is talking, to whom and when. The point of Connecto is that nobody can see a conversation unless they know the room code. So for now we leave notifications out on purpose. Open the room when you want to talk.
How privacy works

What Connecto does
- Asks you to sign in with Google so rooms stay for real people.
- Stores messages so everyone in a room can read the conversation.
- Shows your Google name and photo to the people in your room.
- Protects each room with a random 8-character code.
- Makes whoever creates a room its admin, who can remove or ban people.
- Passes photos, videos and files directly between members' devices.
What it doesn’t do
- No ads.
- No selling or mining of your messages.
- No tracking scripts or analytics.
- No public room lists or search.
- No copies of your files on any server.
Good to know: messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Files travel directly between devices, so the person on the other end can see your network address while it transfers, and a file can only be fetched while someone who has it is online. Treat a room code like a key, and share it only with people you trust.
